Gindikindi is from Galiwin’ku and when he arrived he was 16 years old. Gindikindi arrived in Geelong at the end of 2016 and returned for the commencement of Year 10 in 2017. Gindikindi was identified as a very talented footballer and Geelong Cats were keen for him to join the Geelong Falcons. Gindikindi had great potential on the football field and it was always exciting to see him play. Gindikindi joined Yirrmal on stage at the Port Fairy Folk festival, dancing the traditional Yolngu dances with the other lads. A lot of new skills were learnt in the time Gindi spent here in Geelong and we wish him all the best in all he chooses to do in life. Gindikindi decided to return to his home community to be with his family and pursue his football career locally.
